My band had opened for Slim a few times for his monthly Saturdays at the Turf and I thought it’d be fun to get him on a track for the record we were making at the time. As I remember it, he rolled over to Underwood Studio in South Minneapolis and banged out his parts really quickly. Also, we were dressed exactly the same. Denim jacket and jeans and black Converse. This was also the tune I got played the first year at Target Field before a Twins game. Honored to have had him on the song.
